Aside of recorder, the Q7 is impressive as a stand-alone monitor: it's sharp, vivid and bright with deep, pure blacks and bright whites delivering a 3400:1 contrast ratio. The colors are very accurate, and the 1280 x 800 resolution is more than plenty to deliver sharp images. One of the best features of the screen is its wide 176-degree viewing angle, letting you view the monitor from just about any angle without worrying about color or contrast shifts.
