The Crane 3S gimbal has an impressive payload for its price point. The stated max capacity is 6.5kg, which is great for flying medium-sized/budget cinema camera packages and is also fully suited to smaller systems. When used with a heavier camera package, the full rig can get quite heavy (~12kg for my own set-up) and so can be taxing to operate for extended periods even with the ring grip. Paired with an EasyRig or other on-body camera support, this can be used for extended periods. The gimbal & ring can be configured in a few different ways, as shown in the photos. There are pros and cons to each that are situation dependent. When using the gimbal with the ring grip, I have added a rod as a second point of contact that really strengthens the mount of the gimbal to the ring.
