Where do we cover?


Wedio Global Coverage covers all countries and regions, with a few exceptions- Currently our global coverage does not cover: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo - Brazzaville, Congo - Kinshasa, Cuba, Côte d’Ivoire, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guinea, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Mauritania, Myanmar (Burma), Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Zimbabwe-

Deductible


In case of damage or theft, the renter is responsible for paying 15% of the replacement value or repair cost, but a minimum of £580 in the UK, and a minimum of €670 in the EU- In case of voluntary parting, the lender gets reimbursed the market value of the gear, minus a 15% excess -
Reimbursement will be paid out to lenders with or without VAT depending on the lender's status.

The Wedio Global Coverage is secondary to any existing coverage procured by the owner.

In case of damage or theft, and assuming the claim is approved, you will be reimbursed for the value of the equipment rented or the cost of repair, minus an excess, which the renter will cover.
In case of voluntary parting, and if the claim is approved, you will be reimbursed the market value of the equipment rented, minus a 15% excess.

What happens with claims?


The Wedio Global Coverage is secondary to existing coverage procured by the owner.

In case of damage or theft, and assuming the claim is approved, you will be reimbursed for the value of the equipment rented or the cost of repair, less a deductible, which the renter will reimburse.
In case of voluntary parting, and if the claim is approved, you will be reimbursed the value of the equipment rented, less a 15% deductible, which is calculated based on the value of the equipment.

Need to report a claim?


To file a claim you must meet the following criteria:


  • The claim is filed no more than 48 hours days after the incident
  • The claims form is completed and all information is provided including documentation of the damaged equipment (purchase receipt) and documentation of the damage occurring in the rental period
  • In case of theft and fraud, you have filed a police report and can provide a copy
  • You have filed a claim on any other insurance policies covering the gear
